UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt says the government can’t afford to cut taxes at the moment. “We don’t have that headroom because, in fact, since the spring budget, our debt interest payments have gone up because the markets are pricing in long-term debt more expensive than they did,” Hunt said in an interview with Bloomberg’s Lizzy Burden.
