A first batch of hostages abducted by Hamas on Oct. 7 has been released under the new Gaza cease-fire deal. Local TV stations showed 13 Israeli hostages being transferred to the Red Cross, then crossing over into Egyptian territory. Shortly beforehand, Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said that Hamas had also released a number of Thai nationals held captive in Gaza.
