The Senate Judiciary Committee and Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hold a rare joint hearing on Tuesday examining the security failures leading to the assassination attempt on former President Trump. On July 13, a gunman at a rally in Pennsylvania attempted to assassinate former President Trump. The former president was injured, one person was killed and two others were critically wounded after the shooting.
